ESR 3: Emmanouil Fountoulakis

Biography: Emmanouil (Manos) was born in Heraklion, Greece, on November 28, 1991. He received the diploma degree (5-year program) in electronic and computer engineering from Technical University of Greece (TUC), Chania, in 2016 under the supervision of Associate Professor George N. Karystinos. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree at Linköping Univeristy, Department of Science and Technology, Mobile Telecommunications Group under the supervision of Prof. Nikolaos Pappas and Prof. Vangelis Angelakis. He is also an early state researcher in ACT5G Marie Curie Project, and he will spend the half of the Ph.D. program period at Nokia Bell-Labs, Stuttgart. Manos attended a few elective courses mainly from the telecommunications division at TUC. Courses like Wireless Communications, Information Theory and Coding, Statistical Signal Processing for Telecommunications, and Analysis and Design (Synthesis) of Telecommunications Modules gave him the opportunity to gain a good mathematical and theoretical background on telecommunications.

Interests: Stochastic Control and Optimization with application in Wireless Networks, Lyapunov Optimization Theory, Delay Sensitive networks, Adaptive Signal Processing.
